Cereal Malt Beverage

Application Qualifications

To sell 3.2% cereal malt beverages or beer containing not more than 6% alcohol by volume, either for consumption on the premises or to be sold in unopened containers, within the city limits of Chanute, you will need to obtain a  Cereal Malt Beverage License. 

All CMB license applications must be on forms prepared by the Office of the Kansas Attorney General. Applicants and must submit their application forms to ABC to obtain their State CMB stamp then submit to the city which the establishment or business is located. Upon approval of the CMB license application, the city clerk will issue the CMB license and affix the State CMB stamp ABC provided to the applicant.

City License Fees

City License fees are as follows:

  • For consumption on the premises - $100
  • For sale in the original and unopened container - $50
  • Special event - $25
