Genealogical Society

History of the Chanute Genealogical Society
The Chanute Genealogical Society was organized in 1971, by Dr. Eric Conard and the members of his genealogy class at the Neosho County Community Junior College. The society is a non-profit organization created to promote education in family record research, protect, and preserve public records, accumulate records to be published for posterity, and meetings to stimulate interest in genealogy and the exchange of ideas.

Meetings
The Chanute Genealogical Society meets the fourth Monday of each month at 1:00 pm. The meetings are at:

Membership is $5 for an annual single membership, $7 for annual couple membership, and $3 for annual student membership. To become a member send a money order or a check to:
