The Special Response Team is a
secondary response police unit that is subject to call in event additional
manpower and ability is needed to restore order. The unit is not a separate unit, but a unit compiled of
existing personnel who receive additional training to help them cope with
assignments at hand.
The team may be called upon for
special operations that may include but not be limited to the following:

Hostage/rescue
situations
-
Bomb
threats
-
Special
events
-
VIP
protection
-
Coverage
of disasters
-
Coverage
of civil disorders
-
Search
& rescue
-
High
risk arrest warrants/search warrants
The
team shall be required to receive additional training in various types of
lethal and non-lethal weapons and other equipment needed to complete their
objective.

team shall only strive to perform its duty under the attitude that life is
sacred. The goal of the
Special Response Team is that the situation that they have been called
upon to act is resolved and peace is restored with no one injured.
