THE CHANUTE POLICE DEPARTMENT IS CURRENTLY SEEKING PUBLIC INFORMATION ON THE FOLLOWING CRIMES & ONGOING INVESTIGATIONS:

Starting January 1, 2004 through June 2004, Ranz Motor Co. located at Cherry & Beech Streets in Chanute, has sustained several incidents of criminal damage to vehicles.

Vehicles have repeatedly been vandalized by scratches being put into the paint by some type of sharp object.  Vehicles damaged were usually new vehicles & owned by Ranz Motors.

On August 14, 2004, at Approximately  1:00 p.m. & August 15, 2004 at Approximately 11:00 a.m. Three Vehicles Located Near the Intersection of Steuben & Elm Sustained Criminal Damage.

Damage Was Caused By Scratches Being Put Into the Paint by a Sharp Object .
