Gas Rates:
The City purchases and
distributes from Cornerstone Energy via a Southstone Star
Central pipeline approximately 650,000 mcf per year.
The Gas Utility has 88 miles of pipeline and serves
approximately 3,930 residential, 480 commercial and 70
industrial accounts. In 1996, the City initiated a ten year
program to replace bare and ductile pipe with polyethylene
pipe. For the fifteenth year, the utility was given a safety
award by the American Public Gas Association.

All gas bills are
subject to a fuel adjustment fee, which is the purchase cost
of gas to the City. The fuel adjustment
